France’s AGC Trainsets - July 2007
The French rail system SNCF has ordered 500 additional “Autorails Grande Capacité” (AGC) for its growing suburban, regional and interregional services. “The AGC is the new generation of regional trains for both the French and the European market,” stated Bombardier in making the announcement. |

Here Comes Greenbush! - June 2007
In 1959 the Greenbush branch line from Boston to Scituate, Mass. closed to passenger traffic. Some freight continued into the 70s but the line eventually closed and tracks uprooted. This ‘new’ 17-plus mile branch is being re-opened by the MBTA in Massachusetts to bring commuters into the city from communitiues along the'south shore' and to relieve highway rush hour traffic.
